The Grand Slam is a part of the prestigious FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour and serves as a qualification event for the 2016 Olympics. Top Olympic hopefuls from 20+ countries will battle it out on the sand for $800\,000 in prize money and points towards their Olympic Ranking. In addition to the world’s best beach volleyball talent\, this ultimate beach festival will feature interactive activations\, music\, food\, and more. \nGeneral admission is FREE and premium seating packages　will be available soon for fans seeking the ultimate beach volleyball experience! The music\, phenomenal! \nYou didn’t have to look very far for some tasty eats & cold drinks. \nScreenings performed – 298 \nBiopsies recommended – 97 \nReferrals – 125 \nTotal needing a biopsy\, referral or both – 222 \nIf we just pick up one abnormality\, we’ve had a successful event! \nWe were honored by several surprise guests\, throughout the day: \nCongressman Gus Bilirakis\nCongressman David Jolly\nDr. Vernon Sondak – Chief of Cutaneous Oncology & Director of Surgical Education @ Moffitt \nTrue to his word\, Congressman David Jolly stopped by West the other day\, & dropped off a check for $2\,500 for Phil’s Foundation!\n \nWe are thrilled with what we’ve become & excited to see what the future has in store. \nMany thanks! \n

DESCRIPTION:Wanted to thank all involved with Phil Phest! Our efforts paid off & the day went off without a hitch! Well almost 😉\nGorgeous weather\, near record breaking crowds\, phenomenal music\, good eats\, cold drinks\, & last\, but not least\, free skin screening! \nThis year we screened #291\, with 84 biopsies\, & 120 referrals. To date\, we have 2 positive cases of melanoma. This is why we do\, what we do! \nLet’s not forget the hundreds of balloons we sent up to heaven! We imagine Phil with his crooked grin\, shaking his head in disbelief. “What?! A party for me?!” \nHere are some shots of the bands & our balloon release. Throughout the day\, we fill helium balloons & have anyone write a loved one’s name on it. We figure\, everyone has lost somebody. \nI took these photos.
